The K/1's spent a lot of time learning about Paul Klee, and all the important elements and principles of art that he used. For this project we focused on symmetry, asymmetry, balance, and color saturation. Each student tried their very best to cover the whole page and leave no white, while using saturated colors! They were able to choose between watercolors, tempera cakes, oil pastels, or a combination. Each student was assigned a city scape or building from around the world and they worked to simplify the buildings into simple shapes. K/1's jus finished this project yesterday, and will be starting their house project tomorrow!!
