Hello parents and loved ones!
My name is Jennifer Nelson and I am a recent graduate from the College of Saint Rose. I have created this website so that you are all able to look at your child's artwork and share in the experience with your child! I will be updating this website as often as possible so that you can keep up to date with what your child is doing in their art room, even if they aren't able to bring their work home immediately. All of the work is organized by grade level under the "classes" tab. Enjoy sharing in the creative process with your favorite children!
Artsonia!!
Not only will I be posting progress pictures and descriptions on this site but I will also be using artsonia. Each parent should have gotten a letter home about artsonia, but for those of you that missed it or are confused, here's some more information. Artsonia is a website/app that allows teachers (and students) to post pictures of their artwork. For each project I will be photographing your child's final product and posting it on artsonia in their personal portfolio. Each student is assigned a username and password that links to their portfolio. By using artsonia students will be able to keep a digital portfolio that tracks their progress year to year. If you give permission on the website then you will be able to view your student's artwork anytime. You will also be able to purchase merchandise that has your child's artwork printed on it. When merchandise is purchased from the website a percentage of the profits are actually given back to the school for art supplies! In order for you to see your child's artwork you must give permission on the website!
